Mari kita simak dalam artikel ini. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gout Arthritis adalah penyakit akibat kelainan metabolisme asam urat yang disebut hiperurisemia. Prevalensi gout arthritis di Indonesia 1,6-13,6 per seribu penduduk. Hiperurisemia adalah kondisi dimana kadar asam urat dalam darah > 7 mg\/dl pada pria dan > 6 mg\/dl pada wanita. Hiperurisemia disebabkan oleh produksi asam urat yang meningkat dan ekresi asam urat yang rendah. Penyakit gout atau hiperurisemia kadang-kadang dapat terjadi pembentukan kristal urat dalam ginjal. Kristal ini akan larut dalam urin yang bersifat alkalis.<br>Keadaan hiperurisemia dapat terjadi, karena: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pemecahan jaringan tubuh yang berlebihan sehingga banyak purin yangdibebaskan untuk kemudian dimetabolisir dengan zat sisa serupa asam urat. Ekskresi asam urat yang menurun karena air seni yang asam (misalnya akibat konsumsi lemak atau alkohol yang tinggi) atau karena penurunan fungsi ginjal. Konsumsi makanan yang kaya purin secara berlebihan. Contoh: jerohan, kaldu, kacang, emping dan tape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tujuan dari diet rendah purin adalah untuk mencapai dan mempertahankan status gizi optimal serta menurunkan kadar asam urat dalam darah dan urin. <strong>Penderita asam urat disarankan banyak minum air putih dan cairan jus buah karena air membantu mengeluarkan asam urat melalui urin.<\/strong> Makanan yang baik dan sehat untuk penderita asam urat adalah yang kadar purinnya rendah tapi harus memenuhi cukup energi, protein, mineral dan vitamin. Bahan makanan yang dianjurkan antara lain nasi, bubur, bihun, roti, gandum, makaroni, pasta, jagung, kentang, ubi, talas, havermout, sumber protein hewai yang dianjurkan, telur, susu skim\/susu rendah lemak, sayuran yang diperbolehkan wortel, labu siam, terong, pare, oyong, ketimun, labu air, selada air, tomat, dan lobak, sedangkan untuk buah semua macam buah diperbolehkan untuk dikonsumsi.<br><br><strong>Bahan makanan yang dibatasi<\/strong> antara lain daging sapi, daging ayam, ikan tongkol, tenggiri, bawal, bandeng, kerang, udang dibatasi <strong>maksimum 50 gram\/hari<\/strong>. Sumber protein nabati yang dibatasi diantaranya tempe, tahu maksimum 50gram\/hari dan kacang-kacangan (kacang hijau, kacang tanah, kedelai) paling banyak 25gram\/hari. <strong>Sayuran yang dibatasi<\/strong> yaitu bayam, buncis, daun\/biji melinjo, kapri, kacang polong, kembang kol, asparagus, kangkung dan jamur maksimum 100gr\/hari. Teh kental atau kopi sebaiknya dihindari. Dalam percobaan yang dilakukan oleh ahli gizi dari Kanada, diet purin selama 16 minggu kepada pasien yang menderita asam urat dapat menurunkan berat badan sebanyak 5,4kg dan dapat menurunkan kadar asam urat serta mengurangi gejala serangan asam urat yang tiba-tiba muncul dengan mengkonsumsi <strong><em>makanan yang telah dianjurkan<\/em> :<\/strong> yaitu bayam, buncis, daun\/biji melinjo, kapri, kacang polong, kembang kol, asparagus, kangkung dan jamur maksimum 100gr\/hari. Teh kental atau kopi sebaiknya dihindari.
