Itulah yang terjadi beberapa waktu belakangan ketika isu <strong>kontaminasi Cesium-137 pada udang<\/strong> ramai dibicarakan publik. Banyak orang langsung bertanya-tanya, <em>apakah udang di Indonesia masih aman dikonsumsi? Apakah kontaminasi ini berbahaya bagi kesehatan?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sebenarnya yang perlu dilakukan adalah tidak langsung terjebak kepanikan, melainkan penting untuk memahami kasus ini terlebih dahulu <strong>secara utuh dan berbasis sains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ringkasan Kasus Kontaminasi Udang di Cikande<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Isu ini bermula dari temuan <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>kontaminasi radionuklida Cesium-137 (Cs-137)<\/strong><\/mark> pada produk <strong>udang beku asal Indonesia,<\/strong> yang <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">dilaporkan oleh otoritas pengawas pangan Amerika Serikat (US FDA).<\/mark> Temuan tersebut kemudian ditindaklanjuti oleh Pemerintah Indonesia melalui <strong>Badan Pengawas Tenaga Nuklir (BAPETEN)<\/strong>.<sup data-fn=\"a3ac4c9a-fadf-4a26-ae62-1d36d9fb4a32\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"a3ac4c9a-fadf-4a26-ae62-1d36d9fb4a32-link\" href=\"#a3ac4c9a-fadf-4a26-ae62-1d36d9fb4a32\">1<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pihak BAPETEN lalu melakukan pengujian terhadap dua kontainer udang di Terminal Petikemas Koja, pada 8 Oktober 2025. Pengujian terhadap sampel udang mencatat kadar Cs-137 sebesar <strong>10,8 Bq\/kg<\/strong>, nilai yang masih berada <strong>di bawah ambang klirens 100 Bq\/kg<\/strong> yang ditetapkan untuk pelepasan ke lingkungan.<sup>1<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meski demikian, pemerintah tetap menerapkan <strong>prinsip kehati-hatian (<em>precautionary principle<\/em>)<\/strong> pada pemusnahan 494 kotak karton udang yang terkontaminasi. Mulai dari pemantauan portal radiasi hingga inspeksi lanjutan oleh tim ahli. Pemusnahan dilakukan melalui <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">proses insinerasi bersuhu tinggi<\/mark>, dengan pengelolaan limbah yang mengikuti protokol keselamatan radiasi dan lingkungan secara ketat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seiring dengan itu, pemerintah juga melakukan <strong>pengamanan dan dekontaminasi intensif<\/strong> di area terdampak. BAPETEN dan BRIN menyatakan bahwa <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">sebagian besar zona di Kawasan Cikande telah dinyatakan aman dan fasilitas pengolahan terkait kini telah kembali beroperasi.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otoritas menegaskan bahwa <strong>kasus ini bersifat terbatas<\/strong>, tidak mencerminkan kondisi seluruh rantai pasok udang nasional, namun menjadi pengingat penting akan <strong>ketatnya standar keamanan pangan<\/strong>, khususnya untuk produk ekspor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Baca juga: <a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2020\/10\/07\/kontaminan-merkuri-di-pangan\/\">Kontaminan Merkuri di Pangan<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apa Itu Cesium-137?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Menurut <em>Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/em> (CDC), Cesium-137 adalah <strong>isotop radioaktif buatan manusia<\/strong> yang dihasilkan dari proses fisi nuklir, seperti pada reaktor atau uji coba senjata nuklir. Zat ini <strong>tidak terbentuk secara alami dalam jumlah signifikan di lingkungan<\/strong>.<sup data-fn=\"bd4d7537-f4c0-4c8b-b48d-d0e0aeb66154\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"bd4d7537-f4c0-4c8b-b48d-d0e0aeb66154-link\" href=\"#bd4d7537-f4c0-4c8b-b48d-d0e0aeb66154\">3<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meskipun demikian, <em>United States Environmental Protection Agency<\/em> (US EPA) menyebutkan bahwa&nbsp;<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Cs-137 cukup mudah bergerak melalui udara, mudah larut dalam air, serta mengikat kuat pada tanah dan beton<\/mark>.<sup data-fn=\"2d7fbde4-9343-4b65-83f2-ff0422fdea12\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"2d7fbde4-9343-4b65-83f2-ff0422fdea12-link\" href=\"#2d7fbde4-9343-4b65-83f2-ff0422fdea12\">4<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bahkan, studi menunjukkan bahwa <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Cs dapat terbawa air hujan dari permukaan daun ke tanah<\/mark>. Ketika berada di lingkungan atau masuk ke tubuh manusia, radiasi ini dapat berinteraksi dengan sel dan jaringan lunak, terutama jaringan otot yang kemudian <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>dapat meningkatkan risiko kanker<\/strong><\/mark>.<sup>3,4<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adapun pada kasus yang ditemukan di Cikande dengan tingkat paparan rendah, <strong>tidak dilaporkan adanya efek kesehatan akut<\/strong>. Paparan radiasi akut biasanya hanya terjadi pada <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">kecelakaan nuklir besar atau paparan dosis tinggi<\/mark> dalam waktu singkat. Artinya, konsumsi satu kali atau paparan singkat <strong>tidak serta-merta menyebabkan gejala fatal langsung<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bagaimana dengan Dampak Jangka Panjang?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Radiasi gamma yang dipancarkan oleh <strong>Cesium-137 (Cs-137)<\/strong> secara terus-menerus berpotensi <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">meningkatkan berbagai risiko kesehatan dalam jangka panjang.<\/mark> Risiko ini terutama berkaitan dengan <strong>paparan kronis<\/strong>, bukan efek akut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beberapa dampak kesehatan yang dikaitkan dengan paparan Cs-137 meliputi <strong>peningkatan risiko kanker<\/strong> dan <strong>kerusakan jaringan akibat radiasi<\/strong>.<sup data-fn=\"2231c38f-b79e-49e2-9455-cdfb5f499ec8\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"2231c38f-b79e-49e2-9455-cdfb5f499ec8-link\" href=\"#2231c38f-b79e-49e2-9455-cdfb5f499ec8\">7<\/a><\/sup> Sejumlah studi lainnya juga menunjukkan bahwa paparan radiosesium, terutama dalam konteks paparan kronis dan <strong>akumulasi jangka panjang<\/strong>, dikaitkan dengan <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">gangguan fungsi pankreas, termasuk pankreatitis dan peningkatan risiko diabetes sekunder asal pankreas (tipe 3c)<\/mark>.<sup data-fn=\"85c7a0ba-dbb2-4538-86a5-4167c79ef88f\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"85c7a0ba-dbb2-4538-86a5-4167c79ef88f-link\" href=\"#85c7a0ba-dbb2-4538-86a5-4167c79ef88f\">8<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Namun perlu digarisbawahi bahwa <strong>risiko kesehatan akibat Cs-137 bersifat probabilistik<\/strong>, artinya sangat dipengaruhi oleh <strong>besar dosis, durasi paparan, dan kondisi individu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Baca juga: <a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2021\/02\/04\/tips-pencegahan-kanker\/\">Tips Pencegahan Kanker<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Waktu Paruh Cesium-137: Apakah Bisa Hilang Sendiri?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Cesium-137 memiliki <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">waktu paruh fisik sekitar 30 tahun<\/mark><\/strong>.<sup>3,4 <\/sup>Artinya, diperlukan waktu tiga dekade <strong>agar radioaktivitasnya berkurang setengah secara alami. <\/strong>Oleh karena itu, kontaminasi lingkungan oleh Cs-137 tidak bisa dianggap sepele.<sup>7,<\/sup><sup data-fn=\"a02f0db8-2455-4a65-9ce5-092de113d67a\" class=\"fn\"><a id=\"a02f0db8-2455-4a65-9ce5-092de113d67a-link\" href=\"#a02f0db8-2455-4a65-9ce5-092de113d67a\">9<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Namun, jika Cs-137 masuk ke dalam tubuh manusia, <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">tubuh memiliki mekanisme eliminasi alami<\/mark>. Sekitar <strong>86% cesium (Cs) yang terserap dalam tubuh akan dikeluarkan melalui urin oleh ginjal<\/strong>, sementara <strong>14% sisanya dieliminasi lewat feses, air liur, dan cairan pankreas<\/strong>.<sup>8<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pada manusia, <strong>waktu paruh biologis Cs berkisar antara 50 hingga 150 hari<\/strong>, tergantung kondisi tubuh dan tingkat paparan.
