Tapi, benarkah kafein benar-benar membuat tubuh kehilangan cairan? Atau justru itu hanya mitos yang belum terbukti? Artikel ini akan membahas mitos dan fakta kafein berdasarkan bukti ilmiah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Apakah Kafein Benar-Benar Menyebabkan Dehidrasi?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Salah satu kepercayaan yang berkembang adalah bahwa kafein dapat membuat tubuh kehilangan cairan. Hal ini memang ada dasarnya, karena <strong>kafein memiliki efek diuretik ringan<\/strong>, yaitu meningkatkan frekuensi buang air kecil. Namun, sejumlah penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efek tersebut tidak otomatis menyebabkan dehidrasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sebuah studi oleh Bhalla &amp; Gupta (2018) menyebutkan bahwa asupan kafein moderat, hingga 300 mg per hari, tidak menimbulkan ketidakseimbangan cairan elektrolit maupun dehidrasi pada orang dewasa sehat.<sup>1<\/sup> Bahkan, penelitian terbaru oleh Rosemiarti &amp; Basrowi (2023) juga menegaskan bahwa <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">konsumsi kafein tidak memengaruhi status hidrasi<\/mark>, termasuk pada pekerja yang terbiasa minum kopi setiap hari.<sup>2<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dengan kata lain, efek diuretik kafein baru benar-benar terasa ketika jumlah asupannya berlebihan, yakni lebih dari 500 mg per hari atau setara dengan 4\u20135 cangkir kopi berukuran 200 ml. <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Selama dikonsumsi dalam batas wajar, kafein tidak membuat tubuh kekurangan cairan dan tetap aman untuk dinikmati.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mengenal Kandungan Kafein pada Minuman Sehari-hari<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/woman-601568_1280-1024x683.webp\" alt=\"kafein penyebab dehidrasi\" class=\"wp-image-6224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/woman-601568_1280-1024x683.webp 1024w, https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/woman-601568_1280-300x200.webp 300w, https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/woman-601568_1280-768x512.webp 768w, https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/woman-601568_1280-640x427.webp 640w, https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/woman-601568_1280.webp 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Sumber: Pixabay<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Minuman berkafein termasuk dalam kategori minuman stimulan atau perangsang, karena dapat meningkatkan aktivitas sistem saraf pusat dan perifer. Efek ini membuat tubuh terasa lebih waspada dan berenergi, meskipun pada sebagian orang juga bisa menimbulkan efek samping seperti jantung berdebar atau sulit tidur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beberapa jenis minuman yang masuk ke dalam kategori ini antara lain kopi, teh, minuman energi, minuman bersoda seperti coca-cola, serta minuman berbahan cokelat dan susu. Masing-masing minuman tersebut memiliki kadar kafein yang berbeda, sehingga efek yang ditimbulkan pada tubuh juga bisa bervariasi.<sup>3<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kandungan kafein pada kopi, misalnya, cukup tinggi.<\/strong> Kopi robusta rata-rata mengandung sekitar 2% kafein dari berat bijinya, sedangkan arabika hanya sekitar 1%.<sup>4<\/sup> Jika diseduh, <strong>secangkir kopi umumnya mengandung 80\u2013100 mg kafein.<\/strong> Teh juga merupakan sumber kafein, meski jumlahnya lebih rendah, yaitu sekitar 20\u201373 mg per 100 ml. Minuman bersoda mengandung lebih sedikit lagi, yaitu 9\u201319 mg per 100 ml, sedangkan cokelat memiliki kadar kafein paling rendah. Dengan mengetahui variasi kandungan kafein ini, kita dapat memperkirakan total asupan harian dan mengatur konsumsinya sesuai kebutuhan tubuh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Efek Kafein Tidak Selalu Negatif<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kafein bukan sekadar stimulan yang membuat mata tetap terjaga. Dalam dosis rendah hingga sedang, zat ini memiliki berbagai manfaat positif bagi tubuh manusia, terutama melalui pengaruhnya pada sistem saraf pusat dan beberapa fungsi fisiologis penting. <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Konsumsi kafein terbukti dapat meningkatkan kewaspadaan, konsentrasi, serta memberi efek perlindungan terhadap sejumlah penyakit kronis.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Peningkatan Kognitif<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kafein bekerja dengan cara menghambat adenosin, yaitu senyawa otak yang menimbulkan rasa kantuk. Akibatnya, aktivitas otak meningkat, rasa lelah berkurang, dan tubuh terasa lebih segar.<sup>5 <\/sup>Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kafein mampu meningkatkan fokus, daya ingat, serta kemampuan belajar, sehingga menjadi pilihan populer bagi pelajar maupun profesional yang membutuhkan konsentrasi tinggi.<sup>6<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Perlindungan terhadap Penyakit<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain meningkatkan kognisi, bukti ilmiah juga menunjukkan bahwa kafein memiliki potensi perlindungan terhadap penyakit kronis. Beberapa penelitian mengaitkan konsumsi kafein dengan penurunan risiko diabetes tipe II, kanker tertentu seperti kanker payudara dan usus besar, serta penyakit neurodegeneratif seperti Parkinson.<sup>7<\/sup> Manfaat ini sebagian besar didukung oleh sifat antioksidatif kafein yang mampu mengurangi peradangan dan stres oksidatif dalam tubuh.<sup>5,8<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Kesehatan Kardiovaskular dan Pencernaan<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Dalam jumlah moderat, kafein juga dapat berpengaruh positif pada kesehatan kardiovaskular. Zat ini dapat membantu meningkatkan sirkulasi darah dan mendukung fungsi jantung. Tidak hanya itu, kafein merangsang sekresi asam lambung yang dapat membantu proses pencernaan. Beberapa studi bahkan menyebutkan perannya dalam mengurangi gejala migren melalui mekanisme stimulasi tersebut.<sup>9<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meskipun konsumsi kafein dalam jumlah normal tidak menyebabkan dehidrasi, <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">penting bagi kita untuk tetap waspada terhadap tanda-tanda tubuh kekurangan cairan<\/mark>. Survei lintas negara bahkan menunjukkan 95% responden berada dalam batas konsumsi tersebut.<sup>10<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meski begitu, setiap orang memiliki toleransi berbeda. Ada yang sudah merasakan gelisah atau sulit tidur hanya dengan satu cangkir kopi, sehingga lebih baik membatasi konsumsi 1\u20132 cangkir sehari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penting dipahami bahwa kafein tidak otomatis menyebabkan dehidrasi. Dalam batas wajar, kopi, teh, atau cokelat panas tetap dapat menyumbang cairan harian, meski air putih tetap harus menjadi sumber utama hidrasi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Faktanya, efek dehidrasi baru muncul bila kafein dikonsumsi berlebihan<\/mark>. Jadi, tidak perlu takut menikmati kopi atau teh setiap hari selama masih dalam batas aman. Kuncinya adalah menjaga keseimbangan, cukup minum air putih, dan mengenali tanda-tanda dehidrasi sejak dini.
