Periode pilih-pilih makan ini dimulai ketika anak menginjak usia balita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Picky Eating<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Anak <em>picky eater<\/em> mengonsumsi asupan makan yang kurang bervariasi dan biasanya rendah sayuran, buah, makanan kaya protein dan serat karena penolakan terhadap makanan.<\/span><\/strong> Makanan yang disukai dan tidak disukai memiliki peran penting dalam pemilihan makan, dimana picky eater dapat menunjukkan adanya preferensi kuat terhadap makanan. Picky eating\/pilih &#8211; pilih makan  adalah fase perkembangan normal pada anak. Namun, hasil penelitian menyebutkan tiga perempat anak picky eater mulai menolak makanan pada tahun pertama kehidupan sampai usia dua tahun, puncaknya pada usia 2-6 tahun. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Anak picky eater cenderung memiliki status gizi kurang, lebih berisiko memiliki berat badan kurang, kenaikan berat badan inadekuat dan kekurangan zat gizi dengan Z-score berat badan menurut umur (BB\/U), tinggi badan menurut umur (TB\/U) dan berat badan menurut tinggi badan (BB\/TB) lebih rendah dibandingkan non-picky eater.<\/span><\/strong><span id=\"095a2ea9-e3c1-4feb-9a2b-9974cb92af2d\" data-items=\"[&quot;2277251243&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2021\/03\/31\/membiasakan-konsumsi-sayur-buah-pada-anak-pra-sekolah\/\"><strong>Tips Membiasakan Konsumsi Sayur pada Anak<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Perilaku picky eater mendorong anak susah menerima makanan. Anak menjadi rewel saat diberikan makanan yang tidak sesuai kehendaknya, sehingga anak kurang menikmati makanan yang disajikan.<\/span><\/strong> Hal ini pun berpengaruh terhadap jumlah variasi makanan yang diterima serta membutuhkan teknik penyajian makanan khusus yang perlu dilakukan agar anak mudah menerima. Variasi makanan yang terbatas akan mempengaruhi asupan protein, energi, daging, dan sayur. Perilaku picky eater terjadi berkaitan dengan jarangnya orang tua mengenalkan makanan pada anaknya. Apabila asupan gizi tidak dipenuhi secara optimal maka akan menyebabkan gangguan pertumbuhan pada anak.<span id=\"286db28c-39e8-4440-83f6-eb8ef172b00f\" data-items=\"[&quot;2997961829&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b2\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2021\/01\/13\/apa-itu-food-neophobia\/\">Baca Artikel : Apa itu Food Neophobia?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Pressuring Feeding<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Demi mengatasi pilih-pilih makanan dan untuk mencapai pertumbuhan anak, beberapa orang tua sering memberikan makanan dengan cara penekanan. Sebuah teori mengungkapkan bahwa <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">menekan pemberian makan menyebabkan peningkatan pada pemilih makanan dan terlambatnya pertumbuhan anak.<\/span><\/strong> Selain itu, penekanan saat pemberian makan akan berpengaruh pada peningkatan <em>z-score<\/em> BB\/TB, anak dengan <em>z-score<\/em> BB\/TB rendah akan meningkatkan penekanan pada pemberian makan, <em>picky eating<\/em> akan menurunkan <em>z-score<\/em> BB\/TB. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">pemberian makanan dengan cara penekanan, mungkin bukan strategi yang bermanfaaat untuk mengubah cara pemberian makan dan pertumbuhan bagi anak-anak.<\/span><\/strong><span id=\"e311d177-40f2-4969-bbf6-c88d9970580d\" data-items=\"[&quot;32152827&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b3\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Berdasar studi strategi pemberian makan terkait jumlah dan jenis makanan juga mempengaruhi kebiasaan makan pada anak. Praktik pemberian makan anak kemudian akan mempengaruhi kebiasaan makan anak dan indeks massa tubuh di masa yang akan datang. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Pemberian makan dengan tekanan telah diteliti berhubungan dengan penurunan konsumsi makan yang serta memberikan efek negatif mengenai rasa terpaksa bagi sang anak.<\/span><\/strong> Orangtua yang memberikan tekanan untuk makan juga terkait dengan anak yang cenderung lebih rewel.<span id=\"56fb3ff6-b545-4f31-ac17-f05091fda93b\" data-items=\"[&quot;2379643124&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b4\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Adanya tekanan dalam pemberian makan berhubungan secara signifikan dengan masalah ibu dengan anak <em>underweight<\/em>. Sedangkan pembatasan makan berhubungan dengan masalah ibu dengan anak <em>overweight<\/em>. <\/span><\/strong>Selain itu, adanya tekanan saat makan memiliki hubungan dengan IMT anak yang lebih rendah dan tingkat rewel yang lebih tinggi.
