Apa saja yang tergolong SSBs dan apa efeknya terkait konsumsi SSBs? Mari kita simak pada artikel berikut =)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Definisi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kebutuhan energi selain didapatkan dari makanan juga diperoleh dari minuman terutama <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">minuman ringan berpemanis atau <em>sugar sweetened beverages<\/em> (SSBs), yaitu minuman dalam kemasan yang ditambahkan pemanis sebagai salah satu bahan atau kandungan dalam minuman.<\/span><\/strong> Minuman yang termasuk SSBs adalah minuman ringan atau soft drink (soda dan pop), minuman olahraga (<em>sport drink<\/em>),<br>minuman rasa buah, minuman berenergi, minuman teh dan kopi, susu manis, minuman jus buah pabrikan, dan minuman pengganti cairan elektrolit.<span id=\"7feafa63-c3da-4474-8583-7c7afbae0111\" data-items=\"[&quot;3720586697&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">SSB, yang sekarang menjadi sumber utama gula tambahan dalam makanan di Amerika Serikat terdiri dari pemanis yang <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">mengandung energi seperti sukrosa, sirup jagung fruktosa tinggi, atau konsentrat jus buah<\/span><\/strong>, yang semuanya pada dasarnya memiliki efek metabolik yang serupa. Sebaliknya, minuman yang 100%  berasal dari jus buah dan tidak dicampur dengan pemanis tambahan tidak dianggap SSB. Kandungan sebotol sport drink terdiri dari air, zat elektrolit seperti kalium dan natrium, serta gula atau pemanis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Soft drink<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Minuman ini dikenal dengan minuman berkarbonasi atau biasa disebut minuman bersoda. <em>Soft drinks<\/em> terdiri dari <em>regular soft drink<\/em> dan <em>diet soft drink<\/em>. <em><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">R<\/span><\/strong><\/em><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><em>egular soft drink<\/em> menggunakan gula alami sebagai bahan pemanis sedangkan <em>diet soft drink<\/em> menggunakan pemanis buatan yang tidak memiliki nilai energi<\/span><\/strong>. <em>Soft drink<\/em> dapat menyebabkan obesitas, penyebab kerusakan gigi, dan diabetes. Zat gizi utama <em>soft drink<\/em> adalah gula. Tingkat energi gula pada <em>regular soft drink<\/em> dengan volume 300 mL setara dengan 7 sendok makan gula. Konsumsi gula akan meningkatkan kadar gula darah yang akan merangsang pengeluaran hormon insulin. Pemanis yang dipakai pada <em>regular soft drink<\/em> yaitu sukrosa (gula tebu), sirup fruktosa atau  <em>High Fructose Corn Syrup<\/em> (HFCS). Sedangkan pemanis yang dipakai pada <em>diet softdrink<\/em> yaitu pemanis sintetis aspartam, sakarin atau siklamat. Komposisi <em>soft drink<\/em> lainnya adalah kafein (terutama pada jenis cola dan coffee cream), zat pengawet (umumnya diawetkan dengan sodium benzoat, suatu bahan pengawet sintetis), zat pewarna (karmoisin dan tartrazin), dan flavor buatan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>Energy drinks<\/em> (minuman berenergi)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Minuman berenergi merupakan jenis minuman yang memiliki fungsi hampir sama dengan minuman olahraga (<em>sport drink<\/em>) yaitu untuk mengembalikan atau menambah stamina tubuh akibat latihan atau pekerjaan yang berat. Minuman teh dalam kemasan kini mulai banyak diproduksi karena minat konsumen yang cukup tinggi terhadap jenis minuman ini. Dalam minuman teh siap saji mengandung bahan antara lain air, konsentrat teh yang didapat dari ekstrak daun teh, <em>natural flavors<\/em> (perasa alami), dan gula sebagai pemanis yang pada umumnya sebesar 23 gram\/saji. Pemanis yang biasa digunakan dalam minuman ini ada yang terdiri dari pemanis alami seperti gula pasir atau sukrosa dan <em>high fructose corn syrup<\/em>, dan pemanis buatan seperti sakarin, siklamat, dan aspartam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Efek konsumsi sugar sweetened beverages<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Rasa manis yang terdapat di dalam 300-500 mL <em>sugar sweetened beverage<\/em> (SSBs) mengandung sebanyak 37-54 gram gula. Jumlah kandungan gula ini melebihi 4 kali rekomendasi penambahan gula yang aman pada minuman yaitu 6-12 gram.<\/span><\/strong> Secara teoritis, mengkonsumsi 375 ml SSBs setiap hari akan menambah energi sebesar 150 kalori.<span id=\"9438ebca-557e-48fb-9bd4-a43798fffcaf\" data-items=\"[&quot;1864552573&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b5\u200b<\/sup><\/span> <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Jika terdapat kelebihan energi maka tubuh akan<br>mengubah dan menyimpan energi sebagai trigliserida dalam jaringan adiposa. Kelebihan energi yang terus menerus tanpa ada peningkatan pengeluaran energi melalui aktivitas maka dapat mengakibatkan obesitas.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">SSB dianggap menyebabkan penambahan berat badan berdasarkan kandungan gula tambahannya yang tinggi, potensi rasa kenyang yang rendah dan pengurangan kompensasi yang tidak lengkap dalam asupan energi pada makanan berikutnya setelah konsumsi kalori cair, yang mengarah pada keseimbangan energi positif.<\/span><\/strong> Meskipun SSB meningkatkan risiko sindrom metabolik dan diabetes tipe 2, sebagian karena kontribusinya terhadap penambahan berat badan, efek independen juga dapat berasal dari tingginya tingkat karbohidrat yang dapat diserap dengan cepat dalam bentuk gula tambahan, yang digunakan pada minuman ini.<span id=\"2a5840c6-f233-4e94-9b0c-72919b3b12f9\" data-items=\"[&quot;3720586697&quot;,&quot;505736785&quot;,&quot;2501335459&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1,2,6\u200b<\/sup><\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2019\/11\/23\/diet-diabetes-mellitus\/\">Lebih Lanjut : Diet Diabetes Mellitus<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Peningkatan kadar trigliserida dapat terjadi karena kandungan fruktosa yang terdapat pada <em>sugar-sweetened beverage<\/em>.<\/span><\/strong> Sebanyak 60% karbohidrat yang digunakan sebagai pemanis pada <em>sugar-sweetened beverage<\/em> adalah fruktosa yang sebagian besar akan dimetabolisme di hepar.<span id=\"60731bb3-6bce-4ff5-a2bb-7c1594124076\" data-items=\"[&quot;4097755460&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b7\u200b<\/sup><\/span>  Penelitian kohort pada anak usia 8-15 tahun mendapatkan hasil bahwa asupan <em>sugar-sweetened beverage<\/em> berhubungan positif dengan kadar trigliserida.<span id=\"b82335a6-70d2-4764-93d6-a3682fce5e83\" data-items=\"[&quot;431438607&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b8\u200b<\/sup><\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Berbagai bukti ilmiah hingga saat ini, terdapat pola terkait peningkatan risiko penambahan berat badan dan obesitas dengan asupan SSB yang lebih tinggi.
