Air adalah zat gizi penting. Tubuh membutuhkan lebih banyak air setiap hari dibanding zat gizi lainnya. Manusia hanya dapat bertahan beberapa hari tanpa air, sedangkan kekurangan zat gizi lain mungkin terjadi berminggu-minggu, berbulan-bulan, atau bahkan bertahun-tahun. Oleh karena itu kebutuhan cairan harus dipenuhi setiap hari secara cukup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Air dan Cairan Tubuh<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Sekitar 60% dari berat badan orang dewasa dan 80% pada anak-anak adalah air<\/span><\/strong>. Air membentuk sekitar 75% dari berat jaringan tanpa lemak dan kurang dari 25% dari berat lemak. Komposisi tubuh seseorang mempengaruhi seberapa besar berat badannya adalah air. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Proporsi air umumnya lebih kecil pada wanita, orang gemuk, dan lansia karena proporsi jaringan tanpa lemak yang lebih sedikit.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Di dalam tubuh, air adalah cairan tempat semua proses kehidupan terjadi. Fungsi air antara lain: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Membawazat gizi dan produk sisa ke seluruh tubuh<\/li><li>Mempertahankan struktur molekul besar seperti protein dan glikogen<\/li><li>Berpartisipasi dalam reaksi metabolisme <\/li><li>Berfungsi sebagai pelarut mineral, vitamin, asam amino, glukosa, dan banyak lagi molekul kecil lainnya sehingga dapat berpartisipasi dalam aktivitas metabolisme <\/li><li>Bertindak sebagai pelumas dan bantalan di sekitar sendi dan di dalam mata, di tulang belakang tali pusat, dan, dalam kehamilan, cairan amnion yang mengelilingi janin di dalam rahim <\/li><li>Membantu dalam pengaturan suhu tubuh normal, sebagai penguapan keringat dari kulit menghilangkan panas berlebih dari tubuh <\/li><li>Menjaga volume darah <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Untuk mendukung fungsi tersebut dan fungsi vital lainnya, tubuh secara aktif memelihara sesuai keseimbangan air antara intake dan output.<span id=\"a298e682-da86-493a-8505-5ec7d0025572\" data-items=\"[&quot;3069657359&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Baca Artikel : <a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2020\/11\/21\/air-kelapa-dan-status-hidrasi\/\">Air Kelapa dan Status Hidrasi<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kebutuhan Cairan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Tubuh tidak memiliki persediaan untuk penyimpanan air. Oleh karena itu jumlah air yang hilang setiap 24 jam harus diganti untuk menjaga kesehatan dan keseimbangan. Saat asupan air berlebihan, perut mengembang dan reseptor peregangan mengirim sinyal untuk berhenti minum. Sinyal serupa dikirim dari reseptor di jantung saat volume darah meningkat.<span id=\"99e6dab7-68ea-4477-a6fb-35a80737ce85\" data-items=\"[&quot;3069657359&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\"><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Haus merupakan sinyal yang kurang efektif untuk minum air pada bayi, atlet, orang sakit, dan lansia karena sensasi haus berkurang.<\/span><\/strong> Orang sakit berisiko mengalami ketidakseimbangan air dan elektrolit. Lansia sangat rentan mengalami dehidrasi karena faktor-faktor seperti gangguan kemampuan konsentrasi ginjal, demam, diare, muntah, dan penurunan kemampuan untuk merawat diri sendiri. Dalam kondisi panas ekstrem atau keringat berlebih, rasa haus mungkin tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan air tubuh yang sebenarnya.<span id=\"b4d20727-1a70-49b6-abb5-dd1d718cfeba\" data-items=\"[&quot;738555112&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b2\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Ketika terlalu banyak air yang hilang dari tubuh dan tidak diganti, dehidrasi terjadi.<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"> Tanda pertama dehidrasi adalah rasa haus, sinyal bahwa tubuh telah kehilangan sebagian cairan<\/span><\/strong>.
