Dibutuhkan zat gizi yang cukup untuk menghilangkan oksidan tersebut. Mari kita simak pada artikel berikut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Radikal Bebas<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">merupakan molekul dengan satu atau lebih elektron tidak berpasangan, sifatnya tidak stabil dan sangat reaktif. Untuk mendapatkan kembali kestabilannya, radikal bebas dengan cepat menemukan yang stabil tetapi rentan untuk mengambil elektron. Dengan hilangnya elektron, molekul yang sebelumnya stabil menjadi radikal bebas dan mengambil elektron dari molekul lain di dekatnya. Antioksidan menetralkan radikal bebas dengan menyumbangkan salah satu elektronnya sendiri, sehingga mengakhiri reaksi berantai. Saat kehilangan elektron, antioksidan tidak menjadi radikal bebas karena stabil dalam bentuk apa pun.<span id=\"bdcf2903-9c56-4892-b515-d14b7af99d8e\" data-items=\"[&quot;2456106159&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" class=\"abt-citation\" data-has-children=\"true\"><sup>\u200b1\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Antioksidan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">adalah substansi gizi yang terkandung dalam bahan pangan, yang mampu mencegah atau memperlambat terjadinya kerusakan oksidatif dalam tubuh.<\/span><\/strong><span id=\"51992837-010f-4ce6-af2d-f927b8f038fc\" data-items=\"[&quot;2470777144&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b2\u200b<\/sup><\/span> Kejadian penyakit seperti <em>Cardiovascular Heart Disease<\/em> (CHD), degenerasi makular, <a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2019\/11\/23\/diet-diabetes-mellitus\/\">diabetes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2021\/02\/04\/tips-pencegahan-kanker\/\">kanker<\/a>, dan lain -lain dipicu oleh stress oksidatif. Antioksidan bekerja sebagai <em>free radical scavengers<\/em>, mencegah dan memperbaiki kerusakan yang disebabkan oleh radikal bebas.<span id=\"035c41c8-6670-49f3-9d81-21e786174f59\" data-items=\"[&quot;3611224481&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b3\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Radikal bebas dapat didefinisikan sebagai molekul atau senyawa bebas yang memiliki 1 atau lebih elektron bebas yang tidak berpasangan. elektron tersebut membuat radikal bebas bersifat sangat reatif hingga mudah menyerang sel -sel sehat dalam tubuh.<span id=\"2a769161-c061-4a31-86ec-4477dee9ded6\" data-items=\"[&quot;3086432997&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b4\u200b<\/sup><\/span> Aktivitas radikal bebas dapat dihambat oleh sistem antioksidan yang melengkapi sistem kekebalan tubuh. Tubuh memiliki kemampuan memproduksi antioksidan, namun gizi antioksidan yang dihasilkan tubuh tidak cukup hingga kita perlu mengonsumsi makanan yang mengandung antioksidan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Macam Antioksidan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Antioksidan berdasarkan fungsi dan mekanisme kerjanya terbagi menjadi tiga yaitu:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Antioksidan primer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">berfungsi untuk mencegah pembentukan senyawa radikal baru dengan mengubah radikal bebas menjadi molekul yang berkurang dampak negatifnya sebelum senyawa radikal bebas bereaksi<\/span><\/strong>. Mekanisme antioksidan primer yaitu dengan memutuskan reaksi berantai (<em>chain-breaking antioxidant<\/em>) yang dapat bereaksi dengan radikal-radikal lipid dan mengubahnya menjadi produk yang lebih stabil.<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"> Contoh antioksidan primer adalah Superoksida Dismutase (SOD), Glutation Peroksidase (GPx), katalase, dan protein pengikat logam<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Superoksida dismutase (SOD) berfungsi sebagai katalisator reaksi dismutase dari anion superoksida menjadi hidrogen peroksida (H<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub>) dan oksigen (O<sub>2<\/sub>). Enzim SOD melindungi sel-sel tubuh dan mencegah terjadinya proses peradangan yang diakibatkan oleh radikal bebas. SOD sebenanya sudah terdapat dalam tubuh, namun SOD dapat bekerja secara efektif jika ada zat gizi mineral seperti mangan (Mn), seng (Zn), dan tembaga (Cu) agar dapat bekerja. Cu, Zn-SOD terdapat dalam sitoplasma eukariot, Mn-SOD terdapat di mitokondria organisme aerobik. Enzim SOD tidak selalu bekerja secara bersama-sama. Cu, Zn-SOD berperan sebagai faktor pertahanan utama yang melindungi sel dari radikal superoksida dan memiliki peranan yang sangat penting pada pertahanan antioksidan. Mn-SOD berperan dalam pertahanan sel saat menghadapi stres etanol. Aktivitas enzim SOD memiliki peran penting dalam memerangi stres oksidatif.<span id=\"7cf9315d-9a0a-4761-9f26-ed066c3c6a08\" data-items=\"[&quot;2456106159&quot;,&quot;2298902097&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1,5\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anti oksidan sekunder<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">sebagai pengikat ion-ion logam, penangkap oksigen, pengurai hidroperoksida menjadi senyawa non radikal, penyerap radiasi UV. <\/span><\/strong>Antioksidan sekunder bekerja dengan cara mengkelat logam yang bertindak sebagai pro-oksidan, menangkap radikal dan mencegah terjadinya reaksi berantai. Sumber antioksidan tersier terbagi dalam 2 sumber yaitu antioksidan sintetik atau antioksidan yang berasal dari hasil sintesa reaksi kimia dan antioksidan alami atau antioksidan hasil ekstraksi bahan alami. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Contoh dari antioksidan sintetis adalah <em>Butylated Hidroxyanisol <\/em>(BHA), <em>Butylated Hidroxytoluene <\/em>(BHT),<em> Tert-Butylated Hidroxyquinon <\/em>(TBHQ) dan tokoferol. Sampai batas tertentu, antioksidan dapat diregenerasi, namun oksidasi tetap terjadi dan radikal bebas menyerang terus menerus. Untuk mempertahankan imunitas, seseorang harus mengkonsumsi antioksidan dari makanan secara teratur. Apakah antioksidan harus terpenuhi dari makanan atau suplemen? Makanan \u2014 terutama <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">buah-buahan dan sayuran \u2014 tidak hanya menawarkan antioksidan, tetapi juga berbagai vitamin dan mineral lain<\/span><\/strong>. Karena defisiensi gizi dapat merusak DNA dengan mudah sebagai radikal bebas. Konsumsi buah dan sayur secara teratur dapat melindungi tubuh dari berbagai penyakit \u2014 dan mungkin melindungi terhadap peradangan dan kerusakan DNA.<span id=\"ce7083b1-ab28-43c3-88d0-be471b8c9b05\" data-items=\"[&quot;1313561886&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b6\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Pola makan sehat yang dikombinasikan dengan olahraga, pengendalian berat badan, dan tidak merokok berfungsi sebagai resep terbaik untuk kesehatan<\/strong>. <\/span>Terutama, mengonsumsi suplemen tidak termasuk di antara rekomendasi pencegahan penyakit. Buah dan sayur banyak mengandung zat gizi antioksidan dan fitokimia yang dikaitkan dengan penurunan risiko penyakit kronis.
