Mari kita simak pada artikel ini =)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Definisi<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Sarkopenia adalah <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">hilangnya massa otot terkait usia dan penurunan kekuatan otot<\/span><\/strong>; ini umum terjadi pada lanjut usia dan dikaitkan dengan morbiditas dan mortalitas yang signifikan. Terlepas dari prevalensinya, saat ini tidak ada definisi sarkopenia yang diadopsi secara universal. Selain pengukuran massa otot yang rendah, penelitian terbaru telah mengakui pentingnya kekuatan otot dan kinerja fisik. Penuaan menyebabkan perubahan komposisi tubuh, seperti peningkatan lemak viseral dan penurunan massa otot. Penelitian prospektif menunjukkan terjadinya <span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>penurunan massa otot sekitar 6% per dekade setelah setengah baya<\/strong><\/span>.<span id=\"01275ce4-59d8-4d07-b61a-1914bf3a3278\" data-items=\"[&quot;673792545&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b1\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faktor Risiko<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>antara lain lingkungan, perubahan hormon, dampak penyakit, jalur inflamasi, dan abnormalitas mitokondria. Faktor lingkungan atau gaya hidup meliputi penurunan aktivitas fisik dan penurunan asupan makan.<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"> Kekurangan asupan makanan terutama pada lansia dapat berpengaruh pada massa dan kekuatan otot<\/span><\/strong>. Asupan makanan yang menurun dan tidak memenuhi kebutuhan energi akan berdampak pada penurunan berat badan termasuk penurunan massa otot.<span id=\"01f02e10-0509-45cd-aab1-58b9a08e7fb4\" data-items=\"[&quot;3537341674&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b2\u200b<\/sup><\/span> Lansia juga mengalami penurunan aktivitas fisik karena meningkatnya risiko penyakit kronis yang dapat menimbulkan nyeri dan kelemahan sehingga aktivitas pada lansia cenderung menurun. Penelitian Li <em>et al<\/em> menunjukkan <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">aktivitas fisik yang lebih tinggi dapat meningkatkan massa otot dan menurunkan faktor inflamasi<\/span><\/strong>.<span id=\"3bee7eed-aaa5-40e6-b47e-e0faf903057f\" data-items=\"[&quot;2776981437&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b3\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baca Artikel : <a href=\"https:\/\/ahligizi.id\/blog\/2020\/10\/02\/skrining-fungsi-kognitif-pada-lansia\/\">Skrining Fungsi Kognitif pada Lansia<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Identifikasi Sarkopenia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Penentuan sarkopenia dinilai dari beberapa indikator yaitu penilaian massa otot, kekuatan otot, dan performa fisik. Penilaian massa otot dilakukan menggunakan <em>Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis <\/em>(BIA). Subjek berdiri tanpa alas kaki pada papan analisis dan menarik serta menggenggam alat pendeteksi dengan kedua tangan, lurus 90\u00ba dari tubuh. Massa otot yang diukur digunakan untuk menghitung indeks massa otot melalui perhitungan dari total massa otot dalam kilogram dibagi dengan kuadrat tinggi badan dalam meter (kg\/m<sup>2<\/sup>). &nbsp;<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><em>Cut-off points <\/em>dari indeks massa otot berdasarkan rekomendasi <em>The Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia<\/em> (AWGS) yaitu &lt; 8,87 kg\/m<sup>2 <\/sup>untuk laki-laki dan &lt; 6,42 kg\/m<sup>2<\/sup> untuk perempuan<\/span><\/strong>.<span id=\"1b6afdda-e593-481e-b356-381b31bad95a\" data-items=\"[&quot;3303459558&quot;,&quot;222116000&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b4,5\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pengukuran kekuatan otot dilakukan dengan menggunakan dinamometer tangan dalam satuan kilogram. Pengukuran kekuatan otot dilakukan dengan posisi duduk dan siku tangan 90\u00ba. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Kekuatan otot dikatakan menurun menurut rekomendasi AWGS apabila &lt; 26 kg pada laki-laki dan &lt; 18 kg untuk perempuan<\/span><\/strong>. Pengukuran performa fisik dilakukan dengan mengukur kecepatan berjalan dengan menghitung waktu subjek berjalan sejauh 6 meter. Dikatakan<strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"> performa fisik menurun menurut rekomendasi AWGS apabila kecepatan berjalan \u2264 0,8 m\/detik<\/span><\/strong>. Individu dapat dikategorikan sarkopenia apabila mengalami penurunan massa otot disertai dengan penurunan kekuatan otot atau performa fisik. <span id=\"c34c29a7-a6d9-4804-b408-a7c2bcdc3749\" data-items=\"[&quot;3303459558&quot;,&quot;222116000&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b4,5\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pengaturan Makan pada Sarkopenia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">Terdapat dua konsekuensi penurunan asupan makan pada lansia yang penting untuk massa dan kekuatan otot. Pertama, asupan energi yang lebih rendah, jika tidak diimbangi dengan tingkat pengeluaran energi yang lebih rendah, menyebabkan penurunan berat badan, termasuk hilangnya massa otot. Kedua, karena lansia mengonsumsi makanan dalam jumlah yang lebih sedikit, menjadi lebih sulit untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizinya \u2014 terutama zat gizi mikro. Oleh karena itu, <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">lansia penting memiliki pola makan yang berkualitas dan memadai<\/span><\/strong>.<span id=\"4e125df4-fe66-40a2-9582-369595347fc6\" data-items=\"[&quot;3537341674&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b2\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Protein<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"tw-target-text\">dianggap sebagai zat gizi kunci pada lansia. Protein menyediakan asam amino yang dibutuhkan untuk sintesis protein otot, dan yang terpenting, asam amino yang diserap memiliki efek stimulasi pada sintesis protein otot setelah makan. <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Asupan protein yang direkomendasikan mungkin perlu ditingkatkan pada orang tua untuk menjaga keseimbangan nitrogen dan untuk melindungi mereka dari kehilangan otot sarkopenia<\/span><\/strong>.<span id=\"b8984b29-de82-471e-ad76-d3b99644d222\" data-items=\"[&quot;3537341674&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b2\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vitamin D<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Banyak literatur epidemiologi yang konsisten dengan kemungkinan adanya efek langsung vitamin D pada kekuatan otot. Studi pada lansia  di NHANES III menunjukkan <strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">status vitamin D rendah (serum 25-hidroksivitamin D &lt;15 ng\/mL) dikaitkan dengan peningkatan 4x lipat risiko kelemahan otot<\/span><\/strong>. Dalam studi meta-analisis terkait suplementasi pada lansia,  suplemen vitamin D (700-1000 IU per hari) mengurangi risiko penurunan sebesar 19%. Namun, bukti tidak selalu konsisten karena beberapa studi observasi tidak menemukan hubungan antara status vitamin D dan fungsi fisik, dan studi suplementasi tidak selalu menghasilkan peningkatan fungsi yang terukur.<span id=\"710af2dc-b599-46bd-9d32-2389ebabf7bd\" data-items=\"[&quot;3345099403&quot;]\" contenteditable=\"false\" data-has-children=\"true\" class=\"abt-citation\"><sup>\u200b6\u200b<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Asam Lemak Tak Jenuh<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Omega 3 berpotensi menjadi agen anti-inflamsi. Ada beberapa bukti studi yang mendukung efek status omega 3 pada fungsi otot, karena kekuatan cengkeraman yang lebih tinggi ditemukan pada lansia yang mengonsumsi lebih banyak minyak ikan (sumber omega 3).
